🎯 Theme: “Survive & Thrive: The Ultimate Scout Challenge”

Overview

Troop 9 invites all scouts for an action-packed Adventure Challenge Weekend, where teamwork, leadership, and outdoor skills will be put to the test! Scouts will compete in a series of survival challenges, earn merit badges, and enjoy classic campfire traditions under the stars.

Schedule of Events

Friday, April 19 – Arrival & Camp Setup

⏳ 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM: Check-in & Campsite Setup
🔥 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM: Troop Dinner (Patrol Cooking Competition Begins!)
🌙 8:00 PM – 9:30 PM: Campfire Kickoff (Skits, Songs & Scout Stories)
🔦 10:00 PM: Lights Out

Saturday, April 20 – The Adventure Challenge

🥾 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM: Survival Relay Challenge (Fire-building, Shelter Construction & Knot-Tying Race)
💦 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM: Wilderness First Aid Scenario (Test your emergency response skills!)
🍽️ 12:30 PM – 1:30 PM: Lunch & Rest Period
🏹 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM: Scout Skills Tournament (Orienteering, Axe-Throwing, and Archery)
🌲 4:30 PM – 6:00 PM: Team Obstacle Course & Capture the Flag
🔥 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM: Campfire Ceremony & Awards Night (Including special recognitions & promotions)
🔦 9:30 PM: Night Hike & Stargazing

Sunday, April 21 – Reflection & Departure

🌞 7:00 AM – 8:00 AM: Sunrise Reflection & Scout’s Own Service
🥞 8:30 AM – 9:30 AM: Pancake Breakfast & Closing Remarks
🏕️ 10:00 AM: Pack-Up & Departure

Event Highlights

✅ Patrol Cooking Competition – Scouts will cook their best campfire meal, judged on creativity & taste.
✅ Survival Relay Challenge – Teams will compete to see who can set up a shelter, start a fire, and navigate the fastest!
✅ Outdoor Skills Merit Badges – Scouts can work towards their Wilderness Survival, Orienteering, and First Aid merit badges.
✅ Spirit of Scouting Award – The scout who best demonstrates leadership and teamwork throughout the weekend will receive a special recognition.
