About Troop 9
Troop 9 has been an active part of the Saint Cloud community for years, shaping young men into future leaders through Scouting’s core values: Trustworthiness, Loyalty, Helpfulness, Friendliness, Courtesy, Kindness, Obedience, Cheerfulness, Thriftiness, Bravery, Cleanliness, and Reverence.
Our troop focuses on outdoor adventure, community service, and leadership development. Through a mix of hands-on experiences and mentorship, Scouts learn essential skills, from knot-tying and fire-building to first aid and civic responsibility.
We meet regularly to plan exciting outings, earn merit badges, and build skills that will last a lifetime. Parents and volunteers play an essential role in making our troop a success, and we welcome all who share our commitment to youth development.

- High-Adventure Excursions – Older scouts take part in more challenging experiences like rock climbing, caving, or whitewater rafting.
Commitment to Community Service
Troop 9 is deeply involved in giving back to the community. They regularly participate in:
- Eagle Scout Projects – Many scouts in Troop 9 achieve the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout by leading service projects that benefit schools, parks, and non-profits.
- Community Clean-Ups – Scouts volunteer to pick up litter, plant trees, and maintain local parks.
- Helping Those in Need – From food drives to assisting elderly community members with yard work, Troop 9 lives by the principle of being “helpful” at all times.
Building Leadership and Lifelong Friendships
Scouting is more than just outdoor fun—it’s about personal growth. Troop 9 fosters leadership by encouraging scouts to take on responsibilities, lead younger members, and plan events. Whether through rank advancements, merit badges, or troop meetings, each scout gains the confidence and skills they’ll carry into adulthood.
Many former Troop 9 scouts go on to become leaders in their communities, armed with the lessons they learned in scouting. The friendships formed in Troop 9 last a lifetime, built on shared adventures, teamwork, and the Scout Spirit.
