Overview

Troop 9 is heading deep into the wilderness for an unforgettable Trek & Campout! Scouts will test their endurance, navigation, and survival skills as they embark on a 15-mile backpacking adventure, cook meals on the trail, and experience the beauty of the great outdoors.

This event is designed to challenge scouts while reinforcing the core principles of self-reliance, teamwork, and leadership.

Friday, May 16 – Arrival & Base Camp Setup

βœ… Backcountry Cooking Contest – Each patrol will cook meals using only what they carry, with a special prize for the most creative dish.
βœ… Wildlife Awareness & Tracking – Learn how to identify animal tracks, recognize safe plants, and respect nature’s balance.
βœ… Leave No Trace Training – Reinforce the principles of responsible outdoor ethics.
